Zevenhuizer Verlaat, a national monument dating from 1740, fulfills an important role in water management and recreational navigation. To future-proof lock operation, the installation is being modernized and automated. This will enable the lock keeper to operate the lock safely, efficiently, and easily. Commissioned by GKB Groep, Kadiks Automatisering B.V. is delivering the complete electrical scope of this project for Hoogheemraadschap van Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard. Following a successful FAT test, work on site has now started. With this project, we contribute to reliable and sustainable infrastructure, combining modern technology with the historic character of the lock complex.
Project 651 – Renovation Lock Zevenhuizerverlaat
